Melina Rose 2022 is a summer-ready bottle made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault. Cotton candy/strawberry vibes throughout with a medium body and light tannins.
Mas Lau is the brainchild of Laurent Bagnol, an ex-sommelier from Nimes, who started the Domaine in 2008 with a single hectare. From a family of farmers – his grandfather had goats and his father grew fruit – he became a winemaker to work directly on the land and with vines. Between vineyards and olive trees, the terroir of Souvignargues is located 50 km from the sea on the foothills of the Cévennes, in the heart of Sommières. The soils are varied and rich in their complexity of sandstone, clay, red soil and clapas, stones previously used to build the Capitelles (dry stone mazets). All wines are vinified without intervention, for maximum expression of their personality.
