BABASS IS BACK! Groll ‘n’ Roll is 100% Grolleau and although a little richer than it has been in previous vintages, remains one of the juiciest Natural Wines to pass our lips. Lots of the savoury black fruit we associate with this lesser-sung grape. Babass is often complimented on his meticulous attention to detail when it comes to his soils. This in turn is credited to the texture, poise and delicacy to be found in the finished
Babass is something of a legend in the natural wine world. He was formerly part of Domaine des Griottes and has now decided to go it alone with his 2.4 hectares of Cabernet Franc, Grolleau, and Chenin Blanc. His wines sum up natural wine for a lot of people – wild but pure and compellingly drinkable.
