We're a sucker for a label and when we saw this bad boy we had everything crossed the wine was as good as the art, luckily for us, it was. For this super-easy-drinking 1 Litre bottle of sunshine, organic Grenache and Cinsault grapes were hand harvested and fermented in concrete with indigenous yeast, with no filtration nor fining, and no added sulphur. Served in an Italian-style litre bottle with crown cap, this is designed for summertime drinking - clocking in at 10%, it also makes the perfect breakfast wine. Grin and bear it! (Geddit?)
Lori Haon biodynamically farms a dizzying array of varieties spread over 24 hectares in the Cotes du Rhone, and whilst not currently certified, his organic application is in the post. In the cellar, work follows a combination of Lori's intuition, knowledge and sheer drive. He has two approaches to his wines; some are bottled as an explicit expression of terroir, the others are field blends with an end goal in mind, the blend and vinification changing each year depending on what the harvest has given.
