When France and Spain collide. Experiment from Belly Wine Experiment is a dark Natural Rose wine full of fruit, freshness, and vibrancy. The wine is made from Gamay from Auvergne and Xarel lo from Catalonia in equal parts. The Gamay undergoes a semi-carbonic maceration in whole bunches for fifteen days, then it meets the xarel·lo crushed with its stalks and macerated for five days.
Belly Wine Experiment is the brainchild of winemakers Claire and Aimé, who have over a decade of experience in the wine game. Aimé's dad is Manu Duveau of Yahou Fatal, and farms a handful of plots on the slopes around Clermont Ferrand; while Claire's brother is an importer and distributor of Catalan wines in Paris. This explains the interesting mix of grapes they use!
