Valentina Passalacqua is one of only a few wine producers to produce litre bottles and in homage to getting more bang for your buck when buying a bottle of wine, we've put together 3 of her latest releases. The pack includes an Orange, White, and Rose all under 10.5% and costing a mere £60 including next-day delivery.
First up is Mare e Foresta, a clean, crisp, and top draw skin-macerated Pinot Grigio, technically an orange wine, that comes in a big ass 1 litre bottle of liquid sunshine. Tastes like grapefruit/passion fruit green tea topped off with a seawater float and a finish as clean as they come. No added So2, biodynamic certification, an adorable label designed by Valentina’s young daughters, and just 10% ABV. A killer wine for spring, summer.... and all year round to be honest.

Next is Famiglia 2020 which is basically the epitome of what a clean, drinkable, and fully natural wine should be. Made from a 50/50 blend of Bombino and Fiano grapes which undergo spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks for 6 days, without skins (direct press) before being aged for 6 months in steel tanks. Taste-wise this one is just awesome starting off with rich aromas of lemon, candied ginger, and walnuts and a palate of pineapple and a feint coconut vibe moving onto the finish. Big minerality and incredibly smashable which is dangerous in its 1 litre format

And finally, we have Tenerezza 2020. We first tasted this on a trip back in February to Verona and from its neon salmon pink colour to its fruit-packed finish it absolutely blew us away. Made from 100% Montepulciano picked from young vines which undergo spontaneous fermentation in steel with direct press before being aged for 6 months in steel tanks. Once you pop that crown cap be prepared for big aromas of wildflowers, hay, apple and heaps of cranberry. The palate starts with some pretty prominent mineral notes (chalk) before it goes all fruity with pomegranate, blueberry, currant, and cherry. Good acidity, tannins and a super long finish, this ones special boys and girls...
