Vin de Franz Sauvignon is a lip-smacking natural white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes produced by Frantz Saumon in MontLouis, in the Loire Valley. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration for several hours. Vinification and ageing take place in barrels of various sizes and passage. Light golden colour with lots of citrus and apples. Classic in style of this region with gooseberries and a savoury minerality.
Before embarking on his wine career in 2001, Frantz worked as a forest ranger in Canada and France. Then, as we said, in 2001, came the thunderbolt on the road to MontLouis and decided to buy a small plot of 3 hectares of vines. Since then, Frantz has established himself as one of the best producers in the Loire region, doubling the number of hectares on his estate, now 6, and significantly refining his production technique, which is now truly enviable, but still with a natural, non-interventionist approach.
