You can search high and low but we think this may well be one of the only Argentinian Torrontes Orange Wines around! The wine undergos ten months maceration which transforms and intensifies the more typically, soft, floral notes of this wine into something much more intense. The wine itself is big on apricot and quince stone fruits with heady blossom aromas and could be compared to an Italian macerated Moscato but with a New World twist. Great Orange Wine!
Pol Opuesto is one Pol Andsnes, a philosophy grad, who trained to make wine in many different countries before settling down in Argentina. The name of the project denotes his contrary approach, i.e. not working with Malbec, loving the indigenous (often unloved) grape varieties, valuing the vineyard and making wines with minimal extraction or intervention.
