All Pheasant’s Tears' wines are fermented and aged in qvevri, a unique Georgian vessel used to ferment and store wine. In accordance with Georgian traditional winemaking methods, the ripest of stems are added to the grape skins, juice, and pits before being macerated in the qvevri.
This wine is made from a very rare Georgian pink-skinned grape variety that was about to be lost and pours light red - almost a rose but very different in taste and texture to your usual rose! It features fine tannins, dried fruit, and floral tones, with raspberry on the nose and strawberry on the palate, with acid tang and bite. Give this a bit of a shake or decant for best results.
