La Pépée is a big, bold, Pinot Noir made from vines grown in clay soils and bottled without filtration or added sulfur. An aromatic, spicy, and perfumed Jura Pinot with floral and lavender aromas backed up by some berry fruit compote on the palate.
Jean-Baptiste Menigoz of Domaine Les Bottes Rouges began his working life in Arbois as a special needs teacher before becoming increasingly interested in natural wine through his good friend and esteemed Jura vigneron Raphael Monnier of Ratapoil. Jean-Baptiste now has 7 hectares of organic vines around Arbois and works with native yeast and no sulphur or other additions for all his wines.
