Another new one from Cascina Tavijn. Bandita is a wine with great freshness, buckets of black, brambly fruits and a superb line of acidity running right through the wine. Although underneath it all, this one has a complex structure to it that the palate quickly gets used to it and becomes increasingly addictive sip after sip!
Cascina Tavijn is the brainchild of Nadia Verrua’s family who have been making wines in the hills of Monferrato, Italy for over a century. Their vineyard comprises of over ten hectares of land which is farmed organically and split equally between vines bearing local grape varieties and hazelnut trees. All of Nadia's wines are fermented with wild yeasts and produced in a mixture of big old botti, fibreglass and cement.
